"Zulu our little African Grey is settling in very well here with us. I can see how visiting him before he came home to us, has also helped him to normalise quicker. Thank you for all the advice on nutrition and teaching. Looks like he will be learning to talk at the same time as our little 10 month old toddler, that should be fun times. We couldn't be happier."

If you want to buy an African Gray, there is only one way, Anne Van De Reep in Sooke. As you know, it is difficult to buy a bird, but with Anne with her years of experience, you will have a peace of mind. What also is appreciated is that Anne encouraged me to come and see the bird every week, so that I could create a bond between me and my bird. By coming to see the bird every week the transition from the breeder to my home will be much easier.be much easier. Thank You again for this wonderful experience.

I am the proud owner of the African Grey you sent through my nephew Todd King. We named him Marvin he was supposed to be a gift to my husband but has fallen in love with me instead. My husband is still trying to get Marvin to warm up to him the progress is slow. I do nothing special barely try and he is all over me. Marvin seems to like my daughter too but no one else. Marvin can already say hello meow and bark like a dog it sounds like he laughs at times too.
Marvin a real character and we love him.

I can't begin to tell you how pleased I am with my little budgie Rocky! I've had several baby budgies before and none of them have bonded so quickly. I am loving it!
Generally, he likes my apron pocket but one day he crawled into my left hand and went fast alsleep! Having you handraise your birds early in their life certainly makes them a blessing to have as a pet. thanks Anne!

Hi Anne,
Everything is going great here. All babies are adjusting well and Gracie is an absolute dream. She loves to snuggle and give kisses.
Larry is quite a character and keeps us amused, Rhonda is just a sweetheart and perfectly content just to perch on our shoulder and hang out.

The birds we have purchased from Anne and John are exceptional. We have visited the aviary on many occasions and it is always immaculate. It amazes us how much they love every bird (big and small). We started with one canary and one finch, and now have two of each. Whenever we have a question or a concern about our birds Anne is always there to help. All we need to do is pick up the phone. We board our birds at their aviary. Whenever we go away and would not trust anyone else with them. Anne and John are always so happy to see them because they are their little babies too. On a recent visit to the aviary, they had a large special needs bird they were looking after for the vet because of their dedication and expertise. If you twant a bird from the most knowledgeable, ethical and loving breeder, we recommend purchasing from them.

I got my lovebird from Anne last summer and promptly named him Archibald. He was such a sweet, sociable little fellow. Every day he amuses me with his antics. He loves to come out of his cage and fly around the house or come and sit on my shoulder.
He loves to take showers in the kitchen sink while I am rinsing the dishes.
I was struck by how tame he is.. I can hold him in my hand on his back and scratch his head... he loves it! He closes his little eyes and loves the attention. He's quite precosious and cheeky, a great little fellow.
Equally importanty, Anne is available if I have questionsabout his care as well. When I first got my bird from her I had lots of questions, and she promptly answered every one of them!
